Ms. Nicole (Owner/Director):
Hello, I’m the owner and director of Rising Stars. It has always been a
dream of mine to own and operate my own child care center. I strive to
provide a loving atmosphere for young children to thrive in while learning
the needed skills to help them get a great start in life! I have my Bachelor’s
Degree in Early Childhood Development from Rochester College. I feel our
center is large enough to provide children with many opportunities to grow
yet small enough to be a family.
Ms. Sue:
Hello, I’m the lead teacher for the Toddler room at Rising Stars! It is
something I look forward to doing every day. I have been in the field
for over sixteen years and loving every minute of it. I live in Highland
with my husband and two wonderful children; they are my pride and joy.
I enjoy working in the child care field because children are a joy to be around
and I love nurturing them.
Ms. Stephanie:
Hello, I am the Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Rising Stars. I graduated from
Oakland Community College with my Associates in Early Childhood Development;
I plan on continuing my education at Eastern Michigan University. My husband and
I are expecting our first child in August.
Ms. Carol:
Hello, I have been a teacher at Rising Stars since it was established. I have been
teaching for over 30 years. I attended Central Michigan University where I earned
an Elementary Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood Specialization with a
Child Psychology minor.
Ms. Laura:
Hello, I am a teacher assistant at Rising Stars. I help the lead teachers with anything
and everything they need. I enjoy working with the children very much, and love watching
the kids learn, grow, and develop as time goes on. I am currently attending Oakland
Community College, and hope to continue my education at Grand Valley State University.
Ms. Mary:
Hello, I am an assistant teacher at Rising Stars. I am currently going to school at Oakland
Community College for an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. I plan to
continue my education at Eastern Michigan University. I really enjoy helping the children
learn and discover new things each and every day.
Ms. Kelsey:
Hello, I am a teacher assistant at Rising Stars during my summers and breaks while attending
the University of Michigan. I am a pediatrics nursing student and I love spending my time watching
the children grow and learn through many different processes that go on.
