Here at Rising Stars we strive to achieve excellence. We have many different programs to accommodate many different ages. We have an Infant Room, Toddler Room, Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten room and before & after School for Johnson Elementary. Our curriculum is unique to us and unique to each classroom. We have a letter a week that we work on and our themes are based off the letters. Our lesson plans are done by each teacher for their own room based on their children’s skill set. Even though we are year round our program is more structured through the average school year, our summers are still structured we just have a little more freedom of choices for the children. We do assessments at the begging of the school year, the middle, and the end to assess the children’s progress. Although our teachers are available to talk to whenever needed we have conferences mid-year for parents who want to discuss their children’s progress in more detail. Throughout the day we work together to try and teach the children to be caring, polite, honest, and responsible. It is always a part of our daily routine to encourage the children to say Please and Thank You and to be respectful of other children as well as teachers and friends parents.
Visitors:
Our special visitors include the Dentist, Policemen, Firemen, etc...
Special Days:
We have special days throughout the year which include: Pizza Day, McDonald’s day, Pajama Day, Show-N-Tell, Sprinkler Day, Ice Cream Day, Bike Day, and Sled Day
